Sadie Gilbertson
Sadie grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where she began her dance training. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts as a dance major from the University of Minnesota. She has performed with the Melissa Spurbeck Company and Barbara Thatcher Dance in Minneapolis. Moving to New York in the summer of 2003, she has studied on scholarship at the Paul Taylor School. Sadie joined Saba Dance Theater in January 2004.


Elizabeth Hendrix
To pursue her passion of dance, Elizabeth moved almost 1,000 miles from her home in Birmingham, Alabama to New York City. In Birmingham she studied ballet and jazz at the Birmingham Dance Theater, where she got to perform the role of “Alice” in the original ballet Welcome to Wonderland. In college she had the opportunity to study closely with Teri Weksler, Ruth Henry and Mira Popovich, former prima ballerina with the Serbian National Ballet of Yugoslavia for 18 years. Since moving to New York she has had many performing experiences ranging from dancing for Kenny Larson, formerly with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens to dancing in music videos and performing her own choreography. Currently she teaches ballet in the children’s program at the Broadway Dance Center. Elizabeth has been dancing with Saba Dance Theater since January 2004.


Sara Krikau
Born in Chicago, Illinois, where she began her dance training at the Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance, Sara also studied with Warren Conover of Hubbard Street Dance Company and at the Royal Danish Ballet. She toured internationally with Impact Production Group, including performances at the World’s Fair in Spain and the Olympics in Barcelona. While taking a break from touring, she danced with the Redlands Festival Ballet Company in California. After moving to New York, she studied acting with Robert X. Modica at Carnegie Hall, Matthew Corozine Studios, and post-modern dance with choreographer Carmen Beauchat. Sara joined Saba Dance Theater in 2004 and continues to perform both as an actor and dancer in New York.


Tomoko Muneto
Tomoko began her dance training in classical ballet and performed with several dance companies in Japan. She came to New York in 1997, studying on a scholarship at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance until it closed in May 2000. She continued her training with Igal Perry under the full-time student program at Peridance Center. Tomoko has been working with Lacy James since 1999 and with the Pearl Lang Dance Theater since 2001. While Tomoko has been performing Saba’s choreography since 1999, she became a member of Saba Dance Theater in 2002.


Emily Noton
Emily grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She first trained at Dancefusion Academy in Edmonton, then intensely in RAD, Cecchetti, and ISTD ballet with numerous top ballet schools in western Canada. She also competed across Canada and the west coast in jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop. She continued her ballet training at Nagasaki Ballet School in Okinawa, Japan, and did freelance work throughout Japan. She has danced with Citie Ballet and Mile Zero Dance Company in Canada. Emily holds an Arts Administration Diploma and attended the University of Alberta in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. She moved to New York in the summer of 2004. Emily joined Saba Dance Theatre in January 2005.


Nicole Rocci
Classically trained in ballet under the Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus at Mohawk Valley Ballet, Nicole spent summers studying with Columbia City Ballet, Boston Ballet and American Repertory Ballet. She also has intensive modern, character and jazz dance training. Nicole received her B.A. in Psychology with high honors from Syracuse University, obtained credits towards a dance major at Hamilton College and completed the professional training program at Peridance Center. She has most recently been performing with Mariana Bekerman Dance Company, Mereminne Dancers and Figment Dance Ensemble while taking classes towards her M.S.W. at Fordham University. Nicole, who joined Saba Dance Theater in 2002 for “N.O.N.S.E.N.S.E.,” also serves as assistant to the rehearsal director.


Rachel Laure Sattler
Born in Carson City, Nevada, Rachel began her dance training at a very early age. She also spent a year studying contemporary and modern dance in Europe, starting at the Rosella Hightower School in France. She has attended various workshops throughout France, Germany, England, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria. Her professional affiliations include Nevada Festival Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, Area 51 Dance Company, MacDuffie Performance Group, and Beth Soll and Company. Rachel joined Saba Dance Theater in 2003. Some of her favorite roles include Aurora in Saba’s “Sleeping Beauty,” Prayer in NFB’s “Coppelia,” corps in Sac Ballet’s “Rite of Spring” and “Swan Lake,” and corps in Balanchine’s “Serenade” and “Western Symphony.” In addition to performing, Rachel has been involved in various dance outreach programs and taught dance to a variety of age groups and levels. She is also a certified personal trainer.


Yayoi Suzuki
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Yayoi received her Masters of Art in Dance and Dance Education from New York University. She has worked with choreographers such as Douglas Dunn, Renata Celichowska, Lucia Wright, Yuki Hasegawa and Gabriela Granados. She currently works with The Kathak Ensemble & Friends and Rae Ballard. Yayoi joined Saba Dance Theater in 2003. She would like to thank her parents, Yashiro and Akemi Suzuki, for their love and support.


Inna Yureneva
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Inna graduated from the Bolshoi Theater Academy in 2002, after 10 years of studying classical dance, character dance and acting. During that time she performed in a number of Bolshoi Theater ballet productions. In 2001, she participated in the Dance Festival in Vienna, Austria. Having recently moved to New York with her family, Inna has danced professionally in the U.S with the New York Ballet and the Connecticut Ballet. She joined Saba Dance Theater in 2003.
