Ninetyeleven
Composer

Ninetyeleven was formed in 2000 in Nice, France, by Sand Anastasi and Fred Cuvelier, who write, compose, arrange and interpret their own work. Other projects include writing scores for contemporary ballet, video and theater, notably their collaboration with Saba Dance Theater for three New York seasons. Ninetyeleven and Saba Dance Theater presented their first music CD, Soundtrack from “N.O.N.S.E.N.S.E.” and “Sleeping Beauty,” in October 2003, which is available on the Merchandise page of this site. The group produced their first album, “Entrances”, in France in 2004.

Carolyn Novak
Composer, Mandolin

Carolyn studied music from the age five, when she was given her first guitar. Her mother took her through her first guitar book and her father taught her chords. She joined a folk group and also took up the clarinet in the school band. Later she wanted to play the upright bass, but at the time it was so much bigger than she was. Her eyes fell on the mandolin, and it was love at first sight. Mostly playing with friends and family, she jammed at bluegrass festivals and was eventually invited to play on stage with one of her favorite bands. She is currently playing with a goth/rock band called GFD (www.vampness.com). Carolyn performed in “N.O.N.SE.N.S.E.” as a musician, and in “Sleeping Beauty” in the role of La Fouine.

Tricia Park
Composer, Violin

A recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, Tricia has appeared as soloist with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the English and Saint Paul chamber orchestras, the Frankfurt Radio, Montreal, Baltimore, Dallas, Cincinnati, Seattle symphony orchestras, and the Calgary, Naples, Buffalo, and Westchester philharmonics. She has appeared in recital at Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and on the Ravinia Festival’s Rising Star series, among others. Tricia received her Bachelor and Master of Music from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay. She is currently a Starling-DeLay Teaching Fellow at The Juilliard School. She has studied and performed chamber music with Felix Galimir, Pinchas Zukerman, Michael Tree, Gary Hoffman, Robert McDonald, and members of the American, Guarneri and Juilliard string quartets. Miss Park composed a violin piece for Georges in “N.O.N.S.E.N.S.E.” and also performed Mister Rostad’s composition in the latter and in “G & R,” in the year of 2002.

Malina Rauschenfels
Composer

Malina completed her Bachelor of Music in composition and cello performance at the Eastman School of Music. While working on her Master of Music in cello performance at The Juilliard School, Malina discovered the art of collaboration at a Composers and Choreographers workshop. Since this class, she has collaborated with choreographers in many different ways. Two of her interactive music/dance pieces, in collaboration with choreographers Elisabeth Motley and Jane Sato, were performed at Alice Tully Hall. Another, in collaboration with Luke Wiley with the help of The Juilliard Electric Ensemble’s touch-sensitive sensors, was performed last April. Malina has written for Misnomer Dance Theater and is currently working on an evening length work for Firefly Dance. Miss Rauschenfels has composed the three sections of music in the spring season, in “The Four Seasons” in 2004.

Egil Rostad

Egil has an active performing career and teaches cello privately. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the Guggenheim Museum, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Knitting Factory, among others. Egil composes music for yoga, film and movement.
