Composer, Mandolin
Carolyn studied music
from the age five, when she was given her first guitar. Her mother took her through her first
guitar book and her father taught her chords. She joined a folk group and also took up the
clarinet in the school band. Later she wanted to play the upright bass, but at the time it was
so much bigger than she was. Her eyes fell on the mandolin, and it was love at first sight.
Mostly playing with friends and family, she jammed at bluegrass festivals and was eventually
invited to play on stage with one of her favorite bands. She is currently playing with a
goth/rock band called GFD (www.vampness.com).
Carolyn performed in N.O.N.SE.N.S.E. as a musician, and in Sleeping Beauty
in the role of La Fouine.
