Heather Inglis
Rehearsal Director

Heather Inglis joined Saba Dance Theater as Rehearsal Assistant in January 2005. Before moving to New York, she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Studies at Roehampton University Institute in London, where she studied Limon, Graham, ballet, tap and modern technique and theory. Heather is currently working on her own choreography, which she hopes to present this year. She first met Saba in 2003 at a workshop in New York and continues her dance training at Peridance Center.


Marissa Kaplan
Lighting Designer
“Dancing to Celebrate Life,” 2001

Marissa’s management and design work has been seen with companies around the world, including the Martha Graham Dance Ensemble, Monte/Brown Dance, The Gate Theater of Dublin, The Exit Festival (Creteil, France), Williamstown Theater Company, The Drama League, and Shakespeare and Company. Marissa works as the production manager for Fractured Atlas.


John McKernon
Lighting Designer
“N.O.N.S.E.N.S.E.,” 2002, “Sleeping Beauty,” 2003

John’s recent designs include One Mo’Time (Broadway), Jerry Roll! (New York and London), A Map of the World (Seattle), The School of Jolly Dogs (O’Neil Theater Center), The Nutcracker (NCSA & OBT), and Romeo & Juliet (ARB). He has also lit various plays, musicals, ballets, modern dance companies, religious pagents, galas, dance festivals, restaurants, homes, offices, and nightclubs. John is the author of Lightwright, the industry-standard software for theatrical lighting designers and electricians around the world.


Erico Narita
Graphic Designer

Erico has extensive experience in graphic design for both print and digital media. She has played a primary design role in annual reports for companies ranging from Stamford Hospital to Dun & Bradstreet. One of her earlier website designs won the first annual Java Award from Sun Microsystems in 1995. Her brochure and calendar designs have been shown in publications such as HOW and Creativity, and her work on annual reports won a regional award from Print magazine in 2003. She has developed corporate identity programs for clients including Seiko and Mitsubishi. Erico is responsible for the clean, elegant look of Saba Dance Theater’s printed materials and website.


Jeffrey E. Salzberg
Lighting Designer
“The Four Seasons,” 2004

Jeffrey has designed lighting for theater, ballet and modern dance troupes across the United States. Among the companies with which he has worked are the Houston, Chicago and Washington ballets, for such productions as “Caliban,” “Swan Lake,” “Les Sylphides” and, of course, “The Nutcracker.” He has lit several solos, including “A Shropshire Lad,” featuring New York City Ballet principal dancer Peter Boal, as well as a work created for NYCB’s Alexandra Ansanelli.


Michael Spadaro
Lighting Designer
“3,” 2005

Michael’s recent New York design credits include My Renaissance Faire Lady (Ontological/Hysterical Theater), Director’s Theater Launch at the Connelly Theater, PEACHES (PS 122), Rags and One Girl Drummer (ATA-Chernuchin Theater), Blues for an Alabama Sky, Equus (Charas), and The Director’s Lab at The Rattlestick Playwright’s Theater. Regional design credits include Eurydice (Williamstown Theatre Festival), PEACHES at The Kennedy Center and New World Theatre Festival in Amherst, Massachusetts. As an Assistant Designer, Michael is proud to have worked in a wide array of regional theaters as well as on- and off-Broadway. Michael has spent the past two seasons as the Associate Lighting Supervisor of the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
